Description

French "Ruby" pistol. Contracted out to various Spanish cottage industry gunsmiths (this one was made by "Ergulaga y Cia" in Eibar, Spain), these humble .32 ACP automatics were produced in the hundreds of thousands for the French war effort in the First World War. This one shows all the expected features, including the added "knob" to ensure the holster would not actuate the safety, combined safety and slide stop, and the "crescent moon" slide serrations. Includes one magazine. Pistol shows acceptance markings on the left side of the pistol. Condition is very good, with a little bit of wear on the wood grips and some small blemishes in the parkerized-style finish. Safety has worn a line into the frame. All mechanical functions seem to function properly. Bore is good.
